In the Beginning

Shortly before Trilador passed away, he left his packlands to his two sons whom were to reign as Alphas, both of them. At the start, this didn't seem like such a bad idea, and no one seemed to have a problem with it. However, fairly quickly after taking over as Alpha, it was clear to one brother, Xyonak, that something was terribly amiss. It seemed the other brother, Ramses, had let his new power go to his head. It was a slow descent though, and not too overly noticable at first.

Slowly but surely Ramses had started changing little pack rules without consulting Xyonak, and at first it wasn't a problem though it annoyed Xyonak a little. Then, lone wolves were being accepted into the pack without Xyonak's knowledge, which again wasn't too much of a problem but he really did wish Ramses would consult him. This began to escalate more and more and it started becoming more noticable to the older pack members what was happening. Then came joining fights that Ramses set up between two lone wolves. The wolf that won the fight was permitted entry into the pack, and the wolf that lost was denied.

This is when Xyonak drew the line, as he wasn't an unkind wolf by any means and certainly not power hungry. He wanted to see the pack flourish and grow and succeed, unlike his brother whom wanted strength and power behind him. One night Xyonak finally confronted Ramses, which led to Xyonak leaving with the vast majority of the pack members, namely those whom knew and were subjects of Trilador. It wasn't long after the pack split in two that Xyonak mysteriously vanished without a trace. There are whispers here and there about Ramses murdering his brother in cold blood, and others... just don't know what happened.

Either way, no one is speaking. The packs are still not getting along, not only over Ramses' power hungry ways, but now also over the disappearance of Xyonak.
