Gray Wolf

Nose to Tail Length: 4.5 feet to 6 feet
Height at Shoulder: 26 inches to 32 inches
Weight: 50 pounds to 110 pounds
Physical Features: Gray wolves are a mix of gray and brown, though white, red, and black has also been observed, with lighter fur on their legs and belly. These wolves are usually better at speed, and make excellent runners.
Life Span: 6-8 years (though some live for up to 13 years)

Red Wolf

Nose to Tail Length: ~4 feet
Height at Shoulder: ~26 inches
Weight: 45 pounds to 80 pounds
Physical Features: Lean with black tipped bushy tails, usually. A red wolf's coat is usually brown or buff with some black along their back and a reddish tint on the fur on their muzzle, behind their ears, and on the back of their legs. At a glance, they may look like a German Shepherd.
Life Span: 5-6 years

Great Plains Wolf

Nose to Tail Length: 4.5 feet to 6.5 feet
Height at Shoulder: 26 inches to 31 inches
Weight: 60 pounds to 110 pounds
Physical Features: Most Great Plains Wolves are light in color, though some black wolves have been observed too.
Life Span: Up to 13 years

Mexican Gray Wolf

Nose to Tail Length: 4.5 feet to 5.5 feet
Height at Shoulder: 26 inches to 32 inches
Weight: 60 pounds to 80 pounds
Physical Features: This wolf is gray with light brown fur on its back. Its long legs and sleek body enable it to run fast.
Life Span: Up to 15 years in captivity

Rocky Mountain Wolf

Nose to Tail Length: 5 feet to 7 feet
Height at Shoulder: 32 inches to 36 inches
Weight: 70 pounds to 150 pounds
Physical Features: Gray or black is most common in these wolves, however white, tan, and even blue-ish have been observed.
Life Span: 4 on average (up to 13)

Arctic Wolf

Nose to Tail Length: 3 feet to 5 feet
Height at Shoulder: 25 inches to 30 inches
Weight: 75 pounds to 125 pounds
Physical Features: Arctic wolves have pure white fur.
Life Span: 7-10 years

Notes

1.) In all wolf species, females are generally smaller than males so please take that into account when creating a female character.

2.) Make sure you use this guide when creating your character. If your character's measurements are not within these guidelines, we will ask you to alter them.

3.) We appreciate being corrected on mistakes we have made. If we have made a mistake, please point it out. However, we do not appreciate users arguing for the sake of a more powerful or larger sized character so please refrain from that.

4.) Some of these species, such as the Mexican Gray Wolf, are rare in the wild and as such if too many of a rarer species join, we will be limiting them. This also holds for coloration; for example albino wolves are very rare and as such we will reflect this in the applications we accept.

5.) Typical eye colors of wolves range from light yellow, to amber, or even orange-ish or brown. Blue or green-ish eyes are rare, and not many will be accepted.
